Zamboanga City — The Social Security System (SSS) marked a significant event with the inauguration of its soon-to-be-relocated Zamboanga Branch at the CityMall Tetuan.
The inauguration last July 15 was led by SSS President and CEO Rolando Ledesma Macasaet, who was accompanied by Executive Vice Presidents Voltaire P. Agas and Elvira Alcantara-Resare, and Acting Executive Vice President Ernesto Francisco.
Representing Mayor John M. Dalipe, City Administrator Atty. Wendell Sotto graced the event, alongside esteemed representatives from the local offices of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the Commission on Audit (COA).
The inauguration is considered a milestone for the SSS Zamboanga Branch, with its new facility spanning 857 square meters.
Strategically situated in CityMall Tetuan, the SSS branch is designed to offer enhanced accessibility and convenience, aiming to serve up to 600 walk-in clients daily.
This move is set to bolster the service delivery and operational efficiency of SSS.
One of the notable advantages of the new branch is its cost-efficiency.
The rent-free status of the facility is set to save the SSS Zamboanga Branch Php 780,000 in monthly rent, allowing these savings to be redirected towards further enhancing member services and operational efficiencies.
The new Zamboanga Branch is expected to serve as a model for future expansions and improvements across other regions, with the relocation alignining with the broader initiative to extend the reach and quality of SSS services nationwide.
By providing a more accessible and efficient facility, the SSS aims to meet the growing needs of its members and ensure that quality service is consistently delivered.
