The SSS-SGP Pensyonado (SGP) Partylist is urging all members and pensioners of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) to visit the recently-opened GSIS 360° Digital Business Center (DBC) in Quezon City for their transactions.
“We laud the GSIS for coming up with the Digital Business Center as this will pave the way for the complete digitalization of government insurance services for easy access, efficiency, and transparency,” said Rolly Ledesma Macasaet, a former GSIS president and chief operating officer (CEO).
Macasaet is now running for a congressional seat under the SSS-SGP Pensyonado (SGP) Partylist where he is the No. 1 nominee.
The GSIS opened the doors of its 54th DBC to the public last February 20. The cutting-edge facility is located at the GSIS Branch Office on Elliptical Road, Diliman, QC.
The GSIS developed the DBC concept to speed up and strengthen its services for its members and pensioners. Each DBC has tablets with the GSIS Touch mobile app, enabling members and pensioners to perform various transactions without spending hours in line at a kiosk.
The GSIS Touch mobile app covers 70 percent of the transactions by the pension fund’s members and pensioners. Physical kiosks at GSIS branch offices handle the remaining transactions.
According to the GSIS, it plans to digitize almost all its transactions between 2025 and 2026. It also hopes to offer the DBC concept to other agencies.
Concepts like the DBC could eventually lead to a single website that provides all social security services, something that the SGP Partylist believes can make life much easier for members and pensioners.
